520 _aThis training had several objectives: compare the molecular weights of 5 clones; compare the molecular weights of several samples of the same latex obtained by various sorts of sampling (flim and phase transfer); monitor the development of changes in molecular weights of several ammoniated latex samples during aging; determine the average size and distribution of particle sizes of the different latex samples; study clonal differences in particle size; demonstrate a correlation between latex particle size and mean molecular weights of their sorrounding polyisoprene chains. The particle size of polyisoprene is determined using dynamic distribution of light and light diffraction after sorting the particles by filtration or dynamic creaming.
