520 _aDuring a survey of baby rubber plant seedling disease in Taipei, rotten base stems of the plant were observed. White silk-like mycelia were observed on both the surface of infected plants and on the soil. The infected plants exhibited root and crown rot, foliage blight, and death. The isolated fungus was identified as Sclerotium rolfsii [Corticium rolfsii], the causal agent of southern blight of baby rubber plants. This is thought to be first record of southern blight of baby rubber plants in Taiwan.
