| 520 | _aNitrile rubber-silica composites are prepared with sol-gel derived in situ silica and externally added precipitatedsilica at same filler loading. In both the cases silane coupling agent is used as surface modifier. A comparative study of the filled composites is done along with unfilled rubber composites in terms of morphology, curing characteristics and mechanical properties. In situ silica filled rubber composite shows more uniform dispersion of filler into rubbermatrix and better rubber-filler interaction in comparison to externally filled silica composite. | ||
