This article points out that rubberseed holds great potential of generating an ancillary industry in rubber plantations. Its oil is used mostly for soap manufacture but recently work has been initiated on a number of new uses. Factice is recognised as a valuable processing aid by rubber technologists, and rubberseed oil can be used instead of other vegetable oils for factice preparation.
