Such regulations are necessary in order to encourage the orderly development of the industry. It is pointed out that a uniform rate of royalty assessment is needed to encourage a more even distribution of the rubberwood processing mills in the various states. As policies and regulations differ in the different states of Peninsular Malaysia, interested entrepreneurs are advised to consult the relevent bodies for details in setting up processing plants.
