Study on natural rubber latex modified by PMMA/SiO2 hybrid material
Material type:
TextPublication details: Proceedings of IRRDB Conference: NR Industry: Responding to Globalization, 7-8 September 2004, Kunming International Convention & Exhibition Center, China. pp.477-482.Subject(s): Summary: The acrylic acid intermediate containing activated silicon was formed by putting acidified Na2SiO39H2O into acrylic acid and the PMMA/SiO2 hybrid material was synthesized by emulsion polymerization. And the NR latex modified by PMMA/SiO2 hybrid material was obtained by putting the hybrid material into NR latex on the premise that NR latex is stable after being treated first. The colloid property and mechanical properties have been studied, and the results show that both of them get improved.
