Utilization of oil and fat resource in Southeast Asia (Thailand)

Rambutan seed contain 35;oil, the fatty composition has 7-8;Eicosenoic (c 20:1) and 46.7;of saturated fatty acid, which show that rambutan oil is suitable for margarine and shortening industries. New fatty acid, Monoenoic (C 19:1) was found in Thai longan seed oil which will be the subject of a future study.
