Pyrolysis of polychloroprene rubber in a fluidised-bed reactor-product composition with focus on chlorinated aromatic compounds
Material type:
TextPublication details: Polymer Degradation and Stability 2001Description: 39-51Subject(s): Summary: Polychloroprene rubber was pyrolysed in a fluidised-bed reactor on laboratory scale at 593 oC. The distribution of the pyrolysis products was investigated. Mass balances of all product fractions were obtained. Analytical interest was focused on the chlorinated aromatic compounds. Polycyclic aromatic compounds were found in quite high concentrations of up to 0.1;in the oil. Polychlorinated biphenyls were measured in trace levels of up to 1.8 ppm.
