Study on nano-silica modified NR/HDPE blended thermoplastic elastomer
Material type:
TextPublication details: Proceedings of IRRDB Conference: NR Industry: Responding to Globalization, 7-8 September 2004, Kunming International Convention & Exhibition Center, China. pp.504-509.Subject(s): Summary: Dynamic vulcanised nano-silica modified NR/HDPE blended thermoplastic elastomer (NR/HDPE TPV) was prepared. The modifying effect of nano-silica were investigated by analyzing the mechanical properties, the resistance to thermal distortion and resistance to solvent and thermoplasticityof TPV. The morphology structure of the tensile section of thermoplastic elastomer was analyzed by Scanning electron microscope (SEM). The results show that, the compatibility and interfacial interaction between NR and HDPE was increased greatly by nano-silica thinned cross-linking NR dispersive phase. When the mass ratio of nano-silica was 0.03, NR/HDPE TPV had best the mechanical properties, resistance to thermal distortion and resistance to solvent and thermoplasticity was fairly.
