Effects of different latex preservatives on quebrachitol in natural latex

By: Contributor(s): Material type: TextTextPublication details: Proceedings of IRRDB Conference: NR Industry: Responding to Globalization, 7-8 September 2004, Kunming International Convention & Exhibition Center, China. pp. 463-466.Subject(s): Summary: Effects of different latex preservatives (ammonia aqua, ammonia aqua/boric acid, ammonia aqua TMTD zinc oxide and sodium benzoate) on quebranchitol in natural latex (PR 107) were studied. The results showed that the releasing and extraction of quebrachitol in natural latex were hindered by latex preservative. The extraction rate of quebrachitol in the field latex serum without preservative treatment was 0.15;, and the average extraction rate for latex serum preserved with ammonia aqua, ammonia aqua/TMD zinc oxide and ammonia aqua boric acid were 0.06;, 0.07;, 0.04;respectively.
