Studies on the dielectric and physical properties of phosphate pigment/rubber composites

By: Contributor(s): Material type: TextTextPublication details: Kautschuk Gummi Kunststoffe 2013Description: 29-40Subject(s): Summary: In the present study phosphate pigments were used as reinforcing materials for NR and NR/NBR blend compared with carbon black. Various parameters such aas pigment content, metal ion type, and particle size were investigated and theireffect on rheological, physico-mechanical and dielectric properties were highlighted. A significant improvement in the cure behaviour of the NR and the physical properties of the blend has benn observed. Dielectric measurements were carried out at room temperature ~300dC. The variation of the dielectric properties with phosphate pigments was correlated with the mechanical properties of the composites.
