TextPublication details: Proceedings of IRRDB Symposium 1999, Hainan, Peoples Republic of China. pp.465-473. 1999Subject(s): Summary: The drying characteristics of chlorinated natural rubber (CNR) from latex were analyzed through drying experiment by suspending CNR cube in an air chamber at different drying temperatures, air velocity and granularity. A drying equation and exponential drying model were evaluated to predict the drying process of CNR. It was found that the drying characteristics of CNR accurately represented by an exponential drying model. Parameters in the drying model and drying constant was estimated by the SAS program. Moreover, chemical methods and viscosity methods were used to measure the effect of drying temperature on physical and chemical properties.
