Influence of additives incorporation sequenceon NR?BR blend properties

By: Contributor(s): Material type: TextTextPublication details: Kautschuk Gummi Kunststoffe 2003Description: 49-54Subject(s): Summary: NR/BR blends (50/50) were prepared by using four different sequences to incorporate the additives. After curing under constant conditions the vulcanizaaates demonstrate sequence-dependent mechanical properties. Base on dynamic mechanical thermal analysis and scanning electron microscopy a correlation between the mechanical performance and the blend morphology can be established. The effects are caused by the selective partition of the additives in each rubber phase.
