Genetic variation for yielding and girth increment in progenies of Hevea

By: Contributor(s): Material type: TextTextPublication details: Pesquisa Agropecuaria Brasileira 1998Description: 321-330Online resources: Summary: Genetic variation was studied in half-sib progenies of Hevea brasiliensis selected from a base population introduced from Malaysia. Latex yield (as determined by Hamaker-Morris-Mann test) was evaluated at 40, 43 and 46 months of age, whilst girth increment was determined after 12, 24, 36 and 48 months. Progenies x age interaction was only significant for girth increment. Estimates of narrow and broad sense heritability were highest for girth increment.
