The low temperature induced changes such as membrane injury, anthocyanin accumulation, and composition of pigments were examined. The clone RRII 105 showed high membrane injury, anthocyanin accumulation, with low chlorophyll content and expression of Late Embryogenesis Abundant (LEA) protein, indicating its higher susceptibility to low temperature in comparison with the other clone RRIM 600, where the latter recorded reverse trends in all these biochemical parameters. In the same content, it was observed that RRII 105 defoliates earllier than RRIM 600 in response to low temperature. This study was aimed at examining the confidence in assesing the cold susceptibility of a Hevea clone based on the temporal differences in defoliation UR - Reprint. Abst.only ER -
