N2  - Experimental evidence on the beneficial effect of fertilizing to promote immature rubber growth under various situations in Malaysia is outlined. The topics discussed include rock phosphate application to the planting hole at planting, and  fertilizing to improve the growth of plants obtained from 2-whorl polybag plantings and from maxi stump planting. The experiment showed that proper fertilizers during the immature phase can enhance growth and improve girthing rates, thereby reducing the field maturity period
