These plants, obtained from micro-propagation in vitro with the young anther somatic plants as the explants, showed juvenile characteristics, shared uniform genetic properties when obtained from the same donor, and were self-rooted. Field trials of the self-root juvenile-type clones, juvenile-type clones and their donor clones (control) were arranged. Results showed that 50 cm above gound, the average stem girths of the micro-propagated self-rooting juvenile clones and the anther somatic plants were respectively 24.7;and 9.1;-20.2;bigger than that of the controls. The self-root juvenile type clones produced an average dry rubber yield per tree per year 129.9;-146.3;more than the donor clones did in the first 5 years. In addition, the characteristics of juvenile type clones one kind of budding which the bud-patch were taken from the Anther somatic plants were better than their donor clones too. These results indicate that the self-root juvenile type clone and the juvenile type clone of Hevea brasiliensis are good planting material with fast growth and high yield. They will become the new planting material in place of seedling and mature type clone ER -
