N2  - The rubber beetle, L. curticollis (generic name mis-spelt as Lyprops in earlier reports), found hiding in large swarms on the wooden roofs of houses in Pathanamthitta district, Kerala, India, during the months of March/April, left the settlements in December for breeding in rubber plantations. Eggs were laid in clusters in decaying leaf litter, especially in rubber estates. There were 5 larval instars and a short prepupal stage. The sdults emerged in February and reached the settlements by the end of this month and stayed there until December
