N2  - Rubber collected in polybags is of poorer quality compared to premium rubbers obtained from similar latex collected by conventional methods. A study on keeping the latex fluid and well-preserved in the polybags for two to four weeks in the field was carried out. This paper describes some improvements to the existing process of collecting latex in polybags. Latices in polybags were sucessfully kept fluid for up to four weeks by preservative/biocide systems based on TMTD/ZnO, PRBL and PROXEL GXL. Concentrates produced from such latices were also found to store normally and had no adverse technological properties
