Depending on the level, distribution and orientation of conductive nanofillers, they could be sensitive and smart towards pressure, gas, solvent, and temperature by either increase ordecrease in elecrtical resistivity which are called negative and positive piezoresistive bahavior respectively. In our recent work, electrically conductive nanocomposites with piezoresistive (pressure-sensitive) behaviour has been prepared based on PP/EPDM thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) and graphite nanosheets via melt mixing process. Piezoresistive and conductive properties of nanocomposites were correlated with the developed microstructure by performing scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and melt dynamic viscoelastic measurements on samples. Interfacially compatibilized TPV/graphic nanocomposites exhibited strong presure sensing bahaviour beyond the nanographite percolation threshold ER -
