N2  - The paper discuss with some of the guidelines for establishing various rubber wood processing plants and suggestions for overcoming difficulties in practicing better processing of rubber wood. The vacuum pressure impregnation technique is more reliable than the diffusion technique. Borax boric acid mixture is effective, to retain the natural colour, while the CCA (Copper-Chrome Arsenic) or CCB (Copper-Chrome Boric acid) combination imparts a greenish colour. Certain guideliness regarding the selection of equipment, seasoning, kiln selection etc are also discussed in this paper
