By: Contributor(s): Material type: TextTextPublication details: In Brighton crop protection conference : weeds. : Proceedings of an international conference, Brighton, U K, 20-23 November 1995 1995Description: 175-180Subject(s): Online resources: Summary: Imazapyr was tested at reduced doses in tank-mix combination with glyphosate for the control of I. cylindrica in rubber [hevea brasiliensis] plantations in Indonesia in May-August 1994. These 2 herbicides were applied alone or in combinations at doses of 0.125-0.75 and 0.36-1.80 kg a e/ha, respectively. Single application of imazapyr at 0.75 kg a e/ha was effective in controlling I. cylindrica and suppressing germinating broadleaved weeds. In mixtures with 0.36 kg a e. glyphosate/ha, imazapyr was effective at reduced doses of 0.25 and 0.50 kg a e/ha, thereby minimising the adverse effect of herbicide residues in soil.
