The transparency of latex filims prepared with TMTD/thiocarbanilide combination was found to be superior compared to those filims prepared with ZDC/TMTD system. The mechanical properties and ageing resistance of the vulcanisates were compared with those containing ZDC/TMTD accelerator combination. Vulcanisates prepared with TMTD/thiocarbanilide system showed faster curing rate, higher tensile properties and better ageing resistance in comparison to ZDC/TMTD system.
