Summary, etc Diamondoids are organic compounds (hydrocarbons) with ynique stuctures and properties due to the exceptional atomic arrengements. They melt as much higher temperatures than other hydrocarbon molecules with the same number of carbon atomss in their structure, contain dense, three diamensional network of covalent bondsand are materials with superior strenghth-to- weigh ratio. They possess low strain energy, hence are ultra stable and stiff materials. This family of cage-like compounds has been of great interest in recent years as good candidate for to be incorporated into polymer matrixes for the purpose of properties modification. On the other hand, termoplastic elastomer (TPO) blends based on polypropylene (PP) and EPDM rubber, have been used in a wide range of application such as automotive industry, where enhanced mechanical properties, thermal stebility, scratch and wear resistance are essential.
