| Summary, etc | Intercropping with annual and perennial crops in rubber fields, which has contributed to the improvement in the income of rubber growers and also the effective usage of land, has been practised by both estates and smallholdings in Vietnam for a long time. Modified systems, with hedgerow planting techniques, have also been adopted to improve the effectiveness of intercropping in rubber plantations. Social and economic aspects of intercropping with Hevea are discussed. |
