| Summary, etc | Rubber wood has greater availability and almost equal mechanical, physical, and wood working properties compared to other hard woods. The major limiting character of rubber wood for various end uses is its susceptibility to biological deterioration by borers and sap stain fungus. This can be nullified by adopting proper and effective preservation techniques. By this rubber wood can be used for making furniture and other handicraft articles. |
