Polyisoprenes of low molecular weight were extracted from Ficus Elastica Hoxb Hornem, and examined using C-NMR. 2-3 trans units were found to be present at chain ends and it was concluded that farnesyl and geranyl pyrophosphate could be considered as intimating species.
