A continuation of a series of articles covering rolls and rollers in equipment, a discussion is presented of the chemical bonding of hard rubber rollers to metal cores. Data are given on the Martens yield temperature of hardened rubbers (NR and others) as a function of the type of rubber and the amount of sulphur used.
